Finishing Description Natural Vegetable: this finishing, also known as "Crust", is characterized by a natural full grain surface that is clearly visible because the skin is left in its natural state without any kind finishing. It can be used in this state or further refined.

Type of Finishig (Secondary) The colored butts are fully finished: aniline (or semi-aniline) finish on the grain side and resin back (only 4mm version).

Primary Use Belts and Saddlery. This leather is usually characterized by a square shape and an high thickness and is suitable for the production of belts, harness and saddles for motorbikes, horse riding, bicycles etc..

Secondary Use Leather Goods, Bags, Binding, Wallets. This leather is suitable for producing leather bags or purses, totes, luggage, wallets, book bindings, covers, lining and small leather goods in general.

Heavyweight 4mm (10oz.) and lightweight 2mm (5oz.) leather strips ideal for the production of leather belts, shoulder straps or rifle slings, luggage straps and much more. It is characterized by an exceptional quality being obtained from our first choices of vegetable tanned bull butts made in Tuscany.

This product is available in various widths that can be selected from the drop down menù and can be customized with colors and engravings (in the case of the natural unfinished version).

The heavyweight 4mm (10 oz.) leather strips are cut from our premium item Vegetable Tanned Bull Double Butts (Bends)

The lightweight 2mm (5 oz.) leather strips are cut from our premium item Natural Vegetable Tanned Square Shoulders instead for the colored version from the Premium Aniline Veg Tan Shoulders.

Natural, also known as "crust" or not finished: the surface is left in its natural state, without any type of finishing, it can be used in this way or it is possible to finish it further by hand.
Colored is a full grain fully finished (aniline or semi-aniline) leather, with finish also on the back side resin (only for the 4mm version).
